After 9 long years, my very first children’s book is published! And to say that it was a daunting task is an understatement. You know how people will say…”this is a labor of love”, or “that was a labor of love”? Well, if this experience was a book, then A Labor of Love would be the title. But not in the way you would think. oh no! It was definitely the Lord laboring his love through me from the beginning to the very end. God provided everything I needed to complete the work he assigned to me. Helping me to scale every mountain that presented it self throughout the last 9 years. This is a story He deposited within me because of how much He loves your children and desires to reach their young hearts with His word of truth and to encourage them in a world that can make them feel as if who He created them to be is just not good enough. Whisper's leaves tell their own story
As you and your child read through the story, pay attention to the picture of the leaves on each page. In each chapter it is an indicator of Whispers condition as she journeys further away from God. This is a great way to open a discussion with your child and compare what that could look like in our own human lives when we make a choice to run after other things without God.
